The ABA Business Law Section is a global network of more than 40,000 practicing business lawyers. Membership benefits include robust career building resources, engagement in practice-specific communities, and unparalleled networking opportunities. Members also have access to the section’s newsletter, website, and list serve. They can also access the firm’s publications and participate in group discussions. ABA members have exclusive access to the ABA Business Forum. The ABA Business Law Section has a long-standing relationship with the American Bar Association.
Business Law Section
The Business Law Section has a global network of business law practitioners, including lawyers from many countries. There are several ways to get involved. Students can participate in the Committee Associate Program, which allows them to volunteer for projects that advance the work of their Committees. The Mendes Hershman Student Writing Contest will award a prize and send students to the Business Law Section’s Spring Meeting. There are also programs for students. The Diversity Clerkship Program provides paid clerkships to business court judges. The Law Student Subcommittee of the Young Lawyer Committee will connect young attorneys with students in their fields.
International Law Committee.
The Business Law Section has an International Law Committee. Lawyers can join the International Law Committee by opting in during the application process. It is open to all members, including non-lawyers. By participating in the committee, lawyers can earn CPE credit and gain experience as a business lawyer. If you are a young attorney, you can join the section’s International Law Committee to network with young practitioners from other countries.
